On November 5th, 2010 we harvested our Cabernet Sauvignon fruit from our Atlas Peak vineyard in Napa Valley. Because this appellation has beautiful rich red, yet shallow, volcanic soil, we are able to let our fruit hang on the vine longer than most vineyards in the Napa Valley. Our fruit actually sat through two rain storms this year and still managed to extract the tannic backbone from our grapes which we love to see in our Caymus Vineyards Napa Valley and Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon. Please enjoy this video featuring Harvest Duhig, a member of our winemaking team and my daughter Jenny Wagner who is now learning the ropes of winemaking.
